Advocacy during scary political times
It’s a scary time to be equity-minded, but this work has never been for the faint of heart. Bienvenidos a la resistencia.
In these unprecedented political times, bilingual educators and administrators often feel hopeless and disempowered to advocate for themselves or their students. In this dynamic workshop, Dr. Ardell presents her proprietary, research-based framework for teacher advocacy, designed to resonate even with the most introverted educators.

In a recent survey of 85 respondents who participated in this workshop:
100% of respondents time was honored in Lillian’s sessions
100% of respondents learned something new about deficit thinking
100% of respondents felt they developed the tools to be advocates.

“Bilingual education IS a social justice issue. I guess I never realized that but once Dr. Ardell put it in those terms, I felt a fire ignite inside me!”
“My mindset about advocacy has completely shifted. I used to think I had to be gentle, but I now realize that directness is non-negotiable. If we aren't more urgent in our work, the whole system will fail us. Now, I feel truly prepared to spot bias and take action.”
